Debbie Daley has recently graduated with first class honours from the Coventry University in Illustration and Graphic Design. With a keen eye to pursuing a career in editorial illustration, Debbie is now excited to expand her portfolio as a freelancer.
“Over the last few years at university, my style of illustration has developed and evolved into what you see now. I strive to create designs that have a mix of quirky compositions, elements of intricate detail and strong concepts. I use mainly Adobe Illustrator to put the designs together, and add in bits of texture to bring them to life.
I have just achieved a first class honours degree in Illustration and Graphic Design at Coventry University. At my time there, I completed projects in editorial illustration, poster design, and book cover design. For my final major project, earlier this year, I decided to design a range of different editorial illustrations. This was my favourite project as I found it exciting to be able to illustrate a variety of subject matters and for a new target market every week.”
“Currently I am pursuing work as a freelance illustrator. I would like to find projects in editorial illustration, however, I am excited about any opportunities that may come my way. I am also creating my own greeting cards range, which will be sold on my Etsy shop soon. In the future, I would like to be able to put my designs onto a large range of products. I get so much delight out of seeing my designs in use and I hope soon more and more people will be able to get joy out of them too.”
